Tactile Systems: Tools for Flexible Visual Systems

Sistemas visuales flexibles no significa necesariamente identidades bidimensionales. El workshop de DW Tools for Flexible Visual Systems trata de utilizar materiales comunes como papel, cartón, madera y objetos encontrados para desarrollar sistemas visuales tridimensionales que generan diferentes «gráficos físicos».

Este workshop anima a crear lejos del ordenador, con experimentación y nuevos procesos creativos manuales como proceso. Dado que la herramienta es el ordenador, los programas y el lenguaje de programación conllevan tanta libertad como limitaciones; pueden acarrear también una alta dependencia que condicione el proceso creativo. Este alejamiento del ordenador ayuda a romper con esas rutinas para encontrar nuevas fuentes de inspiración y descubrir posibilidades inexploradas.

El workshop es del 13 al 15 de mayo, de 10 a 17 pm y está impartido por Martin Lorenz y Lupi Asensio (TwoPoints.Net). El precio es 450 € (390 € para los visitantes de TYPOBerlin 2013). Los resultados del workshop se presentarán en TYPOBerlin 2013, que tiene como tema «Touch».

Flexible visual systems do not necessarily need to lead to two dimensional Corporate Identities. The DW Workshop Tools for Flexible Visual Systems will use common materials such as paper, card, wood, and found objects to develop three dimensional visual systems that generate diverse “physical graphics”.

This workshop encourages modes of creation away from the the computer, and towards experimentation and new creative processes with our hands. Given that the tool which is the computer, programs and programming language bring as many limitations as freedoms, it can also bring about high dependency and lead to conditioning the creative process. This step away from the machine can help break these routines in order to find new sources of inspiration and possibilities.

The workshop will take place from the 13th until the 15th of May, from 10am to 17pm and will be teached by Martin Lorenz and Lupi Asensio (TwoPoints.Net). The price is 450,-€, 390,-€ for the visitors of the TYPOBerlin 2013. The results of the workshop will be presented at TYPOBerlin 2013, wich topic is «Touch».
