Identidad de El Imparcial, por Xavi Martínez

El imparcial es un restaurante, bar y espacio cultural ubicado en el barrio madrileño de El Rastro. Abierto e interactivo, se trata de un lugar de encuentro donde diferentes expresiones creativas y de ocio conviven con una propuesta gastronómica ágil y contemporánea. Estas funciones están representadas mediante dos formas básicas: el círculo (que alude a la forma de un plato) y el cuadrado (simbolizando un cuadro), con distintas texturas que tratan de reflejar la variedad (gastronómica, artística) del establecimiento. La tipografía empleada es la Circular, «una mezcla entre Helvetica y Futura» con rasgos muy modernos. La identidad es obra del formidable diseñador Xavi Martínez.

El imparcial is a restaurant, bar and concept store based in El Rastro, a neighborhood from Madrid. It’s an open and interactive meeting place where different expressions from the creativity and entertainment fields coexist with a contemporary and agile gastronomic proposal. These functions are represented through two basic forms: the circle (meaning the shape of a plate) and a square (symbolizing a painting), with various textures trying to transmit the diversity (gastronomic, artistic) of this space. The main typeface is Circular, «a mix between Helvetica and Futura» with modern features. The great designer Xavi Martínez is the author of this identity.
