En su 62 cumpleaños (el número 17 en España), el Catálogo IKEA se renueva con un innovador rediseño y con la incorporación de múltiples innovaciones tecnológicas (contenidos multimedia, modelos en 3D, realidad aumentada o «visión de rayos X» para ver el contenido de los muebles, por ejemplo) a través de la aplicación gratuita IKEA Catalog, disponible para tablets y smartphones (iOS y Android), que permitirá a sus lectores interactuar con sus ambientes y productos. Desde  el punto de vista de la decoración, esta edición se centra en las posibilidades de los textiles para inspirar y transformar los hogares en lugares más acogedores y originales. Además, para amortiguar el impacto de la subida del IVA, la compañía se ha comprometido a mantener el precio del 65% de los productos y a bajar el precio de 122 artículos.
